Ground transportation
Experienced and long-term contract partners are responsible for NEOT’s fuel deliveries to retail stations and fuel oil customers as well as between terminals in Finland. Ground transportation include road transportation and railway operations.
NEOT has ten haulier partners in road transportation.

NEOT cooperates with ten haulier partners who annually transport approximately 2.5 billion litres of fuel products in Finland from terminals to end-users. Each haulier partner has its own transport area, where they transport fuels from terminals to end-users. In collaboration with our partners, we continuously develop new ways to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe road transportation.
The age and condition of the fleet are significant factors in terms of the environmental impact of road transportation.
All vehicles involved in NEOT’s deliveries undergo regular inspections, and we strive to minimise emissions and energy consumption from tank truck transportation through efficient transport planning and training drivers on fuel-efficient driving style.

Rail transportation
NEOT uses railway transportation between some of its terminals in the Southern Finland region. The railway operations are managed by VR Transpoint Oy. The annual volume of fuel transported by rail amounts to approximately 200 million liters.
